The finale of Chick Singer Night Madison during BTW 2017 with ALL of the fabulous performers from the night!
The duo that played after Chick Singer Night - The Tortoise and The Finch. Really cool stuff!
Nancy teaches How To Get More and Better Gigs to a very attentive and lively group! We had lots of great discussions about booking. And afterwards...they gave her a thank you card! Right there in person!
This little group, known as The Avett Brothers, stopped by in the afternoon for some songs and to share some amazing insights with the attendees. We were thoroughly impressed!
Another shot of the Avett Brothers. We were just a few feet away. They were exceptionally open with the audience. One of the highlights of the conference for sure!
Fett teaches his 5 Primary Mixing Tools to a bunch of students who were waiting for his presentation after the Avett Brothers! Yeah, the Avett Brothers opened for him. :-)
Fett was part of this very cool listening panel at a local studio. 5 different engineers/producers listened to recordings to critique and give suggestions on production. This photo was taken from the other side of the glass in the studio.
Here's a better shot of the listening panel and Audrey Martinovich (co-owner and chief engineer of Audio for the Arts studio) who handled playing all of the tracks.
Fett, Nancy, Mike Huberty, and Wendy Staats. Mike and Wendy make up the Madison based duo Sunspot. Mike also is the Artist Services and Music Licensing Manager at Broadjam.com. They were both a big part of putting this conference together. And just super cool people! So glad we got to hang out with them for a bit! Go look 'em up!
Jay Moran with Nancy & Fett. No relation. But it was fun to meet another Moran.
We had to come all the way to Wisconsin to hang out with two of our favorite people from Nashville!
Martin Atkins was a TOTAL STITCH as the keynote speaker on the last day of the conference. So glad we were able to stay to see him. Very entertaining! But it wasn't just fluff...he made lots of really good points along the way!
