you looking for an experienced music industry veteran to produce
your music? Since 1981, Fett has produced more than 1000 songs on
independent albums and song demos in a variety of musical genres.
He is equally comfortable with the production, technology and
musical chops required for today’s competitive music market. He
listens to your music and helps you determine what’s needed to bring
it to its fullest potential, and then helps you get it there.
Although he works throughout the
U.S., Fett’s musical base of operations since 1993 has been
Nashville, Tennessee. While most widely known as a country music
center, Nashville has one of the richest, most diverse musical
communities in the world, with access to the finest session
musicians and singers available today. In addition to producing
music at his own Azalea Studios, Fett collaborates with other
producers, musicians, engineers and studios in Nashville as each
project requires. The result? Fett can produce top-quality
recordings in just about any style using the finest resources
In 2000, Fett became Technology
Editor at Performing Songwriter magazine, a music industry
publication with more than 100,000 readers. “Interestingly, the
more time I spent around music technology and gear, the more I
realized that truly great recordings have very little to do with the
technology or the gear,” says Fett. “My focus is on the song, the
artistry and the music first; everything else is secondary.”
Fett is also the
author of the popular book,
Mixing Roadmap: A Step-by-step Guide to Mixing Music in the Studio.
